This is the First Anniversary of the Middletown Web Page created on June 4, 1996
Middletown is the Southern Gateway to Clear Lake which is Lake County's major attraction. Clear Lake is California's largest lake and is 25 miles long and several miles wide. There are many public beaches, parks, and launch ramps in addition to some big-name resorts and indian casinos, and the fishing is great!
Not hurried by the usual day to day pressures of larger cities, Middletown has a very comfortable pace. Northbound travelers to Clear Lake coming up highway 29 from the San Francisco Bay area are sure to be surprised at the attractions available here. There's much more to Middletown than stopping to gas up or grabbing something to eat or drink, although the local restaurants are very good. So why not stop by the next time you pass through and visit one of the local businesses.
